Our Mission

HarbourVOICES! respectfully acknowledges the island of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland) as the unceded and unsurrendered ancestral homelands of the Mi’kmaq and the Beothuk. We also acknowledge our neighbours to the North: the Innu of Nitassinan and the Inuit of Nunatisavut and NunatuKavut, in what is colonially known as Labrador. We acknowledge with respect the diverse histories and cultures of the Mi’kmaq, Innu, and Inuit, and give appreciation for their ongoing stewardship of these lands on which we work, play, grow, and learn together.
