HarbourVOICES! International Festival of Collective Singing Traditions is an innovative six-day celebration of diverse singing traditions from around the globe. In addition to performing concerts and events, HarbourVOICES! will provide spaces for collaboration, reciprocal learning, and diversity through the sharing and authentic experiencing of varied musical traditions and cultures.

Our Festival is focused on celebrating diversity and inclusion through the encouragement of diverse voices and cultures. We are interested in prioritising collaboration and the reciprocal sharing of collective singing traditions. We hope to celebrate together the many and diverse traditions and powers of the human voice as shared through singing and song in the uniquely vibrant City of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Our Logo

Our logo features the many hues of a harbour, with ocean and sound waves swirling above and a group of singers moving and dancing together. Our aim is to represent the fluidity, movement, and joy of collective singing.

Wildly Unique

Our capital city

St. John’s

“St. John’s, our province’s capital, is the perfect combination of big-city luxury and traditional small-town charm. It is one of the oldest and most easterly cities in North America, and has become a rare destination full of character and charisma, with a contemporary, sophisticated edge.” – Destination St. John’s

Our Province

Newfoundland & Labrador

“Newfoundland and Labrador has a reputation for being friendly. Warm and welcoming, fun loving and funny to the core, the people here are also known for their natural creativity, unique language, and knack for storytelling. Perhaps that’s why Maclean’s magazine thinks Newfoundland and Labrador has one of the Top 10 Friendliest Cultures in the World!” – NL Tourism
