The Harbour Lights pathway will be of interest to choirs/groups who come to the festival primarily to sing together and with others in open workshops, massed choir, informal circles, and spontaneous musical moments! Choir/group participants may also engage in workshops and presentations, cultural exchanges, and all festival events such as the Opening Ceremony and the HarbourSING! outdoor singing event.
Best for: Choirs/groups who want the full festival experience without preparing a formal performance.

This pathway includes:

• Opening Ceremony Participation – Includes a short featured introduction/performance opportunity (approximately 30 seconds).
• HarbourGALA! Concert – Massed choir performance with special guests. Includes concert seats if rehearsing and performing with the massed choir. Additional tickets are available for purchase separately. Children’s choirs (under 18) may require supervising adults.
• HarbourSING! Outdoor Community Event (Optional) – Includes optional opportunity to perform as part of a high-energy outdoor event.
• Festival Workshops and Sessions (Optional; pre-registration required, subject to space availability) – Choirs/groups and individual singers can participate in all festival offerings such as: Singing and cultural workshops, interactive learning sessions and presentations, plenary sessions, cultural exchanges with other festival participants.
• Pop-Up Performance Opportunities – Choirs/groups have an optional opportunity to perform in informal pop-up concerts throughout the festival held in various locations throughout the city. 
• Closing Celebration – All-ages closing party at the Convention Centre. 
• Festival Kit Bag – One festival kit bag for each participant. 
• Afternoon and Evening Concerts – Ticket packages may be purchased at discounted rates for participating choirs/groups. See below for details. 
• Welcome Reception– Ensemble conductors/leaders will be invited to a festival welcome reception. 

Fees:

• The fee is $80 CAD (Canadian dollars) + HST (15% harmonized sales tax) per participant (including the conductor).
• A minimum fee of $750 CAD (Canadian dollars) + HST (15% harmonized sales tax) per ensemble will apply.

Not included in registration fees:

• Transportation, accommodations, meals, and parking

Participating choirs/groups are responsible for all arrangements related to the organization, booking, and payment of accommodations and meals during their stay in St. John’s. A comprehensive list of specially negotiated accommodation options will be provided, with choices available across a range of price points. In addition, information will be provided about possible meal purchase options (e.g., boxed lunches on-site).

Important Note:  There is no participation fee for Newfoundland & Labrador choirs/groups in Harbour Lights pathway.

A Newfoundland fishing ‘stage’ is a traditional, wooden, rough-timbered building built on stilts over the water’s edge – the ‘landwash’. It acts as a wharf, workspace, and shed for unloading, gutting, cleaning, and drying codfish.

Best for: Choirs/groups who want to perform in afternoon and evening concert series as part of the HarbourVOICES! festival experience. This stream is for choirs/groups who apply to participate as a performing ensemble. Applications will be reviewed by the Co-Artistic Directors.

This pathway includes:

• Festival Choir/Group Performances – a. One scheduled performance slot with 25 minutes (stage time). Stage time includes entrances/exits, introductions/speaking, repertoire, applause, and transitions. b. Second optional performance slot with 25 minutes (stage time). Stage time includes entrances/exits, introductions/speaking, repertoire, applause, and transitions.
• Sharing & Exchange Workshops – Two workshop sessions with guest artists/choral leaders and/or other participating groups (to be scheduled individually once the full participant roster is confirmed).
• Opening Ceremony Participation – Includes a short featured introduction/performance opportunity (approximately 30 seconds.) 
• Concert Ticket Package – Group tickets to one festival concert. (Concert selection not guaranteed.)

• 21-30 members: $2,240 CAD (Canadian dollars) + HST (15% harmonized sales tax)
• 31-50 members: $2,800 CAD (Canadian dollars) + HST (15% harmonized sales tax)
• 51-70 members: $3,360 CAD (Canadian dollars) + HST (15% harmonized sales tax)
• 71-90 members: $3,920 CAD (Canadian dollars) + HST (15% harmonized sales tax)

Solo Together is ideal for singers who love music, singing, and collective singing but are not traveling with an organized choir/group. Participants have the option to join the HarbourVOICES! ‘Solo Together’ Festival Choir as well as participate in curated festival experiences. 

Best for: Individual singers who want to attend HarbourVOICES and sing as part of a welcoming festival choir, as well as choral/organizational leaders, composers, presenters, graduate students, and more.

This pathway includes:

• Full Festival Access – Full access to all conference sessions, workshops, and collaborative projects, After-hours events, networking opportunities, social gatherings, coffee/tea breaks at the St. John’s Convention Centre, conference programme, welcome kit, and registration badge.
• Concert Ticket Package (9 tickets total) – Includes one (1) ticket to each of the following festival concerts: HarbourGALA! Concert featuring headliner (TBD), Afternoon Concerts (4), Evening Concerts (3), HarbourSING! Final Event & Closing Reception (St. John’s Convention Centre.)
• Optional Festival Participation Opportunities – Option to sing with Solo Together choir, option to sing with Collaborative Singing Projects, option to participate as a singer in the HarbourSING! outdoor event, Opening Reception at the St. John’s Convention Centre, Opening Ceremony Event.

Fees:

• General: $695 CAD (Canadian dollars) + HST (15% harmonized sales tax)

● Individual concert tickets available for $20 + HST each.

● A minimum purchase of three (3) tickets per participant.

● The flexibility to attend as many concerts as you wish beyond the three-ticket minimum.

● The ability to choose from approximately 12 afternoon and evening festival concerts, based on your schedule and interests.

Please note: 

● This does not include admission to the HarbourGALA! Concert or Signature Concerts.

● A discount will be offered on Signature Concert tickets for festival choir/group participants.
